A spoiled rotten brat.

We just endured the longest address to a Joint Session of Congress in history — the first 30 minutes of which he dedicated to complaining about Biden. My reactions?

On his "landslide victory"

Who's gonna tell him that his 1.5% popular vote victory is one of the smallest ever. He got 49.7% of the popular vote. Not even a majority. Is the landslide in the room with us?

On Social Security?

He's completely full of shit and will use his lies as the excuse to take away your parents' and grandparents' social security checks.

On skyrocketing food prices?

He had the nerve to complain about the cost of eggs. He fired — and is now unable to rehire — the workers responsible for getting the bird flu under control. Which, as a reminder, is why eggs are so expensive in the first place. Now, egg prices are higher than they have ever been!

And soon, it won't just be food prices! Trump's tariffs will slam middle class people. Right now, we should all take a picture of a receipt, car insurance invoice, or a utility bill to remember what we'd paid — because it's about to go WAY up.

Why? Because he has to start the stupidest trade war in history and hand out tax breaks to billionaires at the expense of working people.

On public safety?

He wanted to talk "Law and Order," as if he wasn't the same guy who pardoned people that savagely beat law enforcement on January 6, including: a guy who tasered a cop — causing a heart attack, another who was just re-arrested for soliciting a minor, one who got killed in a shootout with police after Trump pardoned him; as well as someone incarcerated in 2013 for using Silk Road to bring a ton of Fentanyl into our country from China.

On his statement that, "the days of being ruled by unelected bureaucrats is over."

...Elon Musk is literally in the room staring him down from the balcony, and he admitted that Elon was the head of DOGE, but okay.

I hate to say it, but our country is now run by a child. And not a good child. A spoiled rotten brat. And Republicans in Congress enable him. It's going to be a long four years — but together, we're going to fight back. I will continue to hold him and his enablers accountable and do whatever it takes to get real, effective leaders in those spineless Republicans' seats in Congress.

In solidarity,

Jim
