I'm walking!

In 7 days, I'm going to walk from Springfield to Greenfield – 43 miles for the 15th Annual March for the Food Bank, formerly known as "Monte's March," to raise awareness for the problem of hunger and to raise funds for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Will you support our efforts to combat hunger by making a donation today?

This will be the 12th(!!) year that I've made the journey along with my good friend Monte Belmonte, and I cannot think of a time when it felt more important. I am deeply worried that the incoming Trump Administration will gut our social safety net, especially our anti-hunger programs. This year's walk takes on added meaning to make sure that our communities have the resources they need to serve the most vulnerable among us.

I can think of no better way to do that than to tackle the problem of hunger head on, right here in Western Massachusetts. So join me in taking action to better our community by making a donation to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts today.
