Have I stepped into a time machine?

I mean, I know Trump and Vance wanted to take us back, but I didn't know they wanted to take us that far back.

Apparently, at a speaking engagement in 2021, Vance called Vice President Kamala Harris a "childless cat lady" with "no stake in the future of our country." Ew.

Setting aside the disgusting sexism–and the offensive insinuation that being a stepmom is somehow less important–his comments let slip more than he intended.

You see, for guys like Vance, it isn't enough that we go back in time to the last Trump presidency. They want to go back to the bronze age–to completely undo all of the progress we have made on making women co-equal citizens in our society.

This is what's behind his support for a national abortion ban (with no exceptions for rape or incest). It's behind his support for limiting contraception and discouraging women from entering the workforce. In fact, it's behind all the vicious, sexist attacks we are hearing from the GOP.

The stakes of this election cannot be higher. Are we going to continue to make strides towards liberty and justice for all? Or are we going to implement the Trump-Vance Project 2025 Plan to take total control over our country and our lives–including a nationwide abortion ban? I know my answer.
