The United States has some of the highest health care costs in the nation. So, it's unsurprising that one in five people report having medical debt.

Medical debt is dragging down the credit scores of millions of Americans, making it harder for them to get an auto loan, a mortgage, or even approval to rent an apartment. People should not be penalized for receiving the health care they need!

Thanks to the Biden Administration's long push to minimize the effect of medical debt on credit scores, credit reporting agencies have stopped reporting "some, but not all, medical bills on an individual's credit report."

It's time to finish the job. No one should have their credit dinged for going to the doctor.
