This will change lives

Great news out of Massachusetts!

The legislature passed a budget to permanently fund free universal school meals for every child in the Commonwealth.

No child in Massachusetts will ever have to wonder how they'll get through the school day on an empty stomach. That's huge!

Our kids are our future. They deserve to focus on learning, growing, and thriving – not worrying about how they'll pay their lunch debt or where their next meal will come from.

If this is signed into law, it will change lives.

I'm so proud of the work we've done to get here. Together, we've built a movement to demand that our leaders – at every level of government – take action to end hunger. We are seeing real progress. But our mission does not end today. We must keep pushing for universal school meals nationwide.

Every child and teen in America deserves access to free and nutritious meals at school. And I won't stop until that's a reality.
