An absolute affront to our democracy

"The Big Lie" endures.

The latest? It's not enough for MAGA Republicans to simply reinvigorate their disinformation campaign regarding the so-called 'stolen' 2020 election — they want to legislate on it.

We know the GOP will continue to parrot the false narrative that our elections aren't safe and secure. But to develop and push a voter suppression bill full of shameful tactics in the name of "election integrity" is a whole new level.

We won't be fooled: these Republicans don't care about election integrity.

If they did, they'd denounce Trump and his cronies who tried to "find votes" in a desperate attempt to crown Trump the victor of the 2020 election. Not continue to amplify this fallacy and continue their work to disenfranchise voters.

Instead, the Republicans' agenda is crystal clear: they want to give states more power to purge voter rolls and ban all same-day voter registration, making it more difficult for certain populations, especially those who are already marginalized, to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

This is an absolute affront to our democracy, and you can bet I'm not going to stand for it. Are you with me? Chip in now and help build the movement to get these power-hungry Republicans out of office!

The right to vote is sacred, and as elected leaders, we have a responsibility to ensure our elections remain free and fair. We've made significant progress in securing voting rights as a nation, and I'm determined to fight tooth and nail to prevent any backsliding.
